Peruvians
The Peruvian is the progenitor of all modern long haired breeds, being Guinea Pig with hair that grows long continuously all over its body, sometimes to an excess of 20 inches. Accordingly, this ornate feature can make caring for this breed more difficult for both owners and breeder; most show Peruvians have their hair folded up in wraps to protect it and keep it clean. Long haired Guinea Pigs have both a top and an undercoat and kept as pets are regularly trimmed for ease of keeping, those in show coat should have hair that fans out to make the animal's front and rear completely indistinguishable. The coat should be of an even length all over, and have a central parting on the spine. Peruvians of show standards are required to have 2 rosettes on either side of the rump, which creates the desired height and density.

Niles Crane
Niles is a gorgeous edition to our stud. He is golden in colour and incredibly shy, but sweet natured and once you are holding him, you'll fall in love with his little chubby face. Unfortunately, he has had a hair cut from one of the other sows when he was in for breeding, so he doesn't look his usual beautiful stunning self!
Frasier Crane
Frasier is about 3 years old and was actually donated to us as the orignial owners could no longer look after him. He's very friendly and is currently living with Blackberry the Abyssinian, neither being used for breeding or showing, just relaxing and keeping his cage mate warm in the winter months with his lushious long locks.
Daphne
This gorgeous girl was born in March 2010 and is a gold and white Peruvian. She was incredibly nervous when she first came to us, but she has gradually come out of her shell. She has the most gorgeous texture to her coat and we are thrilled with her. sadly this little girl is no longer with us...she will be sadly missed.
Shelties
A Sheltie has long hair that flows back over its body and never forward over the face (as in the Peruvian). When viewed from above it forms a teardrop shape and should never have a central parting. In contract to the Peruvian, where the coat is desired to fall in an even curtain all around the body, the Sheltie is generally accepted to have a somewhat longer sweep of hair in the rear.

Shayla
We never thought we'd get into breeding longhaired due to the extra work of keeping their coats kept nice, but when I saw Shayla, I fell for her immediately. She's a cream/slate with lemon ticking/white sheltie born on mothers day. She's such a funny character and will have a crafty chew at your clothes if you're not paying attention to her.
